This article is about the full stack only. For the individual prototypes, see Ship 33 (S33) and Booster 14 (B14). For the seventh starship flight test, including updates and analysis, see Starship Flight Test 7.
Starship 14/33 is the eighth starship full stack comprised of Ship 33 (S33) and Booster 14 (B14).
It is planned to fly in Starship Flight Test 7 and will be the first starship full stack with a Block 2 Ship.
B14 and S33 have both completed all cryogenic and engine testing and are currently stacked at the launch site ahead of the flight, with a seemingly successful wet dress rehearsal occurring on January 10th.
History[]
Elon Musk announced after Flight 6 that they would use a V2 Ship for the launch. After that, S32 was abandoned in favor of S33. The flight 7, would have a fight profile similar to flight 5 and 6, but later, they decided that they would do both a payload deployment demo and a deorbit burn demo.

Main Article: Starship Flight Test 7
On 17 January 2025, Starship 14/33 left the ground at 16:37 local time. While there weren't major issues with neither the Ship nor the Super Heavy Booster before hotstaging. After hotstaging, the booster failed to relight 1 of its 13 raptor engines, nevertheless, the “go for booster return” command was given, and the booster continued on its trajectory towards the launch site, and relit all 13 inner engines successfully for the final landing burn, and was successfully caught. The Ship started to leak methane, and one of the central raptors failed, followed by another sea level, and a RVac, causing the ship to lose control. The ship was continuing to deviate from its trajectory, when another RVac failed, followed by the only sea level that was working. At 00:08:26, telemetry was lost. After that, the ship likely lost its final engine, and exploded around 00:11:30, causing a large debris trail. The FAA reported that they had to activate a Debris Response Area and briefly slowed aircraft outside the area where space vehicle debris was falling or stopped aircraft at their departure location and required SpaceX to conduct a mishap investigation.[4] Also, damage to property was reported.[5]
